Can the police ask someone with a disability to hold their leg off the ground 6 inches for 30 seconds for a field sobriety test?

Over the holidays I was pulled over in North Andover, MA and admitted to having a few beers. I'm not actually sure if it is considered a disability, but I had hip replacement surgery and have restricted mobility. Is this a reasonable defense for OUI DUI?

The Police can and usually will ask you to perform the field exercises regardless of physical issues and then indicate that they took the ailment into account even though they for the most part have no medical training background. I would say that you have a a real good case to defend.
